Yuma woman appears on 'Montel Williams' Searching for La Mesa Street murderer BY SARAH REYNOLDS, SUN STAFF WRITER Published on: September 28, 2006    A Yuma woman appeared on "The Montel Williams" show Wednesday in search of answers to the identity of a man who murdered six people - including four children - more than a year ago.    According to reports from KYMA-TV, Dora Velazquez, the mother of one of the victims, appeared on the program Sept. 27. She was one of a handful of guests who consulted author and self-proclaimed psychic Sylvia Browne.    Browne appears regularly on "The Montel Williams Show" which airs on NBC Channel 11.    On June 24, 2005, Velazquez's 30 year old daughter, Adrienne Heredia, was killed in her home at 2037 E. La Mesa Street, along with her four children: Andreas Crawford, 13; Enrique Bedoya, 12; Inez Newman, 9; and danny Heredia III, 6. Heredia's boyfriend, Luis Rios, 35, was found shot to death in the backyard.    "I don't think he lives that far," Browne told her during the program, mentioning that it was someone they knew. Browne said the killer was acting "smug" and that no one would have ever thought that he could commit this crime.    She said the killer had jealous feelings involving Rios, and that he was "violently mad."    Velazquez could not be reached by The Sun for comment on Wednesday afternoon.    Brown continued during the program to say that the family and friends who were murdered that day were in the "wrong place at the wrong time" and reassured Velazquez that she was not in any danger.    The Yuma Police Department continues to investigate the case. A task force of four full-time investigators and three part-time investigators is assigned to it. Police have interviewed more than 600 people and collected more than 1,200 items of evidence.
